Jacinta Agnes Darbeau

Jacinta Agnes Darbeau was born in St. George’s to Maggie Darbeau and Jacinta's Father. In 1960 when her mother immigrated to the United Kingdom, Jacinta and her siblings were placed in the care of an Aunt Robertina in Victoria, St. Marks.
Her intelligence gained Jacinta a government scholarship to attend St Joseph’s Convent St. Georges. Where she excelled in many subjects at both ordinary and advanced level. Like her mother, Jacinta became a teacher, enthused her students and excelled at math and science.
She taught at St Joseph’s Convent and at the IFE Institute where her pupils achieved record level distinction grades. She was such an inspiration to her students that they named her their most influential teacher. Many attribute their successes in life directly to this remarkable woman.
She migrated to Canada for further studies and obtained honors degrees. She migrated to the United States in a search for better job prospects in the Electrophysiology discipline.
Jacinta loved a quiet and peaceful life. She settled in New Jersey and worked at some of their most prestigious hospitals culminating at The Valley Hospital in Hackensack for the twenty-five years until her recent retirement, where she worked alongside the cardiologists on cardiac invasive procedures. Jacinta is held is great regard and is remembered with the highest of respect by her co-workers.
Jacinta will be sadly missed by all.
