Old Hotel Building at Gouyave
This house is known locally to many people as a family dwelling. However, historical records have shown that it was the first lodge or hotel in Gouyave during the 1700s.
It provided refuge for hundreds of persons displaced after the Great St. George’s Fire on Wednesday 1st November 1775
This building was also used by Bill Williams as a Funeral home during the 1950's and also the Party Headquarters in St. John's of the NJM, in the early days of the Revolution.
