We would love to hear from you.

Alma Cynthia Agnes Vieira

It is with deep sadness and love that we announce the passing of Cynthia Vieira, who left this world peacefully on Saturday, November 9th, 2024, at Dartmouth General Hospital. Born on April 22, 1938, in Grenville, Grenada, Cynthia was a truly beautiful soul—radiant both inside and out. Her warmth, kindness, and boundless love for her family and friends defined her life and left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Cynthia was a devoted wife to her beloved husband, John Vieira, sharing a life filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories. As a mother, she was nothing short of extraordinary, guiding and nurturing her children with unwavering support and affection. Her legacy lives on in her children: Michael (Renee, Elizabeth, and Alexander), Marie Louise (Fernando), Jonathan (Ghislaine, Olivia, Anthony, and Isaac), and Jennifer. She also held a special place in her heart for her precious daughter Cindy, whom she now joins in eternal peace, along with her parents Marie Louise (Cherman) and Franklyn (Christopher Cosmus) Calliste, and brother Neville Calliste. She will be remembered dearly by her sister Doreen MacLeish, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends

Cynthia’s gentle spirit, wise counsel, and endless compassion created a strong and loving family that will forever be grateful for her presence. Her laughter and kindness brightened every room, and her unwavering faith and strength inspired all who knew her.

As we gather to celebrate Cynthia’s life, we remember her as a woman of grace and love, someone who gave so much to others and found joy in her family and friends. Her legacy of love and kindness will forever live on in our hearts.
